The Grail VR was formed in June 2018 by like-minded, hard-working, and highly knowledgeable group of university students and academics from various backgrounds.

About the Project

This project was created in Unity 3D with C# made specifically for the Magic Leap One device that focused on XR (Spatial Computing and Augmented Reality). The goal of this project was to bring an iconic NPC to life and to be able to communicate and fight alongside the NPC in your own house throughout the game.

My Contributions

Responsibility as Project Manager
- In this position I managed around 10 other co-workers to ensure the possibility of publishing the project by communicating and giving each member tasks within a timely manner. I Understand the crucial requirement of following the specifications of the project. Provided thorough documentation for R&D (Research & Development). Provided an SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) for building to the Magic Leap One with Unity. Schedule meetings to discuss the specifications and issues and new ideas for development. Have online meetings with a team in Taiwan using Google Meets to communicate tasks and requirements.
Responsibility as Lead Developer
- In this position I was responsible for tackling difficult problems and communicating with other developers and to provide support when needed. On my development side, I focused on the AI development for the npcs/mobs/boss and controlling entire scene/game flow from beginning to end. Provided thorough step by step documentation for each component created. Provided optimal algorithms to help push.
Other experiences at The Grail VR
- I understand the procedures for deploying the unity project to mobile devices iOS and Android and have worked with many other SDKs & APIs that require deploying to a mobile device.
- All listed components were my responsibility for R&D: ARKit, ARFoundation, 6DAI, Google Cardboard, Leap Motion, Intel Realsense, Magimask, Manomotion, Realmax, A* (Aron Granberg’s A* Pathfinding).
